Teaser Trailer for the Qashqai Urban Challenge goes online
Time is getting closer and from today on the holding page of the Qashqai Urban Challenge is online. It contains some general information regarding the five events and an action-packed teaser produced by Freeride Entertainment as an emotional introduction of the first urban freeride series. In six weeks, the Qashqai Urban Challenge will take the world's best urban freeriders through five different European cities, competing for the title of the most 'urbanproof' athlete. The tour will hit four European cities in four weeks with a spectacular fifth and last stop for the final spectacle in Paris one month later. Dates: 1. Newcastle, UK: May 4/5th North Shore 2. Milan, Italy: May 11/12th Dirt 3. Madrid, Spain: May 18th/19th Street 4. Cologne, Germany: May 25th/26th Park 5. Paris, France: June 22th/23th Big Air The teaser will bring the Qashqai Urban Challenge to life and by watching it you will get a first impression of what is going to happen in May and June. The line-up for the tour is packed with big-name riders. The following 15 riders have been invited to compete in the challenging journey through the five metropolises starting on May 4th 2007: Aaron Chase (USA) Andreu Lacondeguy (ESP) Amir Kabbani (GER) Ben Boyko (CAN) Cameron McCaul (USA) Cameron Zink (USA) Darren Berrecloth (CAN) Darren Pokoj (AUS) Greg Watts (USA) Jamie Goldman (USA) Kyle Strait (USA) Lance McDermott (UK) Paul Basagoitia (USA) Ryder Kasprick (CAN) Trond Hansen (NOR) In each city there will be 10 additional riders who specialise in the certain discipline, who will challenge the tour riders and compete with them for the top spot on the podium. The 15 tour riders will not only have to try to dominate their rivals but also win single events to gather points as the rider who manages to collect the most points will be crowned overall champion at the end of the Qashqai Urban Challenge.
